- We have an office in a small wooden cabin just north of the ferry terminal in Visby harbor. Go left if you arrived by boat. The cars are located in a parking lot about 600 meters away.
- During summer, we are open on weekdays 9-12 and 14-17 (9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm). In low season often only weekday mornings. It is possible to pick up a car at other times if you book in advance. Email us if you have questions, please use our booking form if you want to make a reservation.
- We prefer that you fill out our booking form, where you can also view prices and availability. We respond as quickly as we can, and all submissions come into our inbox in the order they are received. If you want to rent a car within three days, you cannot complete the form, but there might still be cars available—please send your details by email in that case. We do not accept bookings via SMS. The information we request in the form is what we need for the booking. Above all, we need a mobile number, which we use as customer identification. The booking must be made by someone who has a valid driver’s license—we want a responsible driver. Other drivers may drive under that person’s responsibility.
- We have older cars; Volkswagen Golf, Vento and Passat as well as Toyota. Most of the cars are from the 90s and early 00s. They cannot be compared to new cars. They work well and have been inspected at Swedish Vehicle Inspection.
- Unfortunately, we have discontinued pick-up/drop-off at the airport as of 2022.
- It is possible to pick up a car at inconvenient hours. If you want to pick it up at night or early morning before 9 a.m., we charge the rental from the previous evening. Book via the booking form or email us to receive instructions.
- We always require payment in advance. You can pay the rental fee in advance to our bank account: 5009-8284. Please write the date of pick-up and your name in the message (e.g., 14/12 Andersson). Note that it can take a few days before the payment is visible on our account. This confirms that you want the car and makes pick-up smoother. We also accept card payments.
- Cancel at least one day before the rental period to avoid a cancellation fee equal to one day’s rental. We will refund you if you’ve paid in advance. If you want to end the rental period earlier, you must notify us by email at least one day in advance to have the remaining rental amount refunded.
- All our cars have liability insurance. The deductible is the cost you pay if you damage the car or are at fault in an accident. The deductible is 5300 SEK. Deductible elimination costs 50 SEK/day (100 SEK/day if the driver is under 24), which completely removes the deductible. A reduced deductible for drivers under 24 is 50 SEK/day, which cuts the deductible to half (100 SEK/day is required for full elimination). Punctures and damage to tires and rims are not covered by deductible elimination. Internal damage, such as excessive littering or having hairy or wet seats, is not covered because these are not insurance matters.
- Return the car to the same location (unless otherwise agreed) and in the same condition as when you picked it up. We reserve the right to charge a fee if the car is abnormally dirty—for example, if it has hairy or wet seats, if someone has smoked in the car, or if the fuel tank is not refilled. Remember that the car should be ready to rent immediately to another customer. It is important that the car is returned no later than the time specified for return (the time stated in the contract). If the car is not returned by the agreed time and the customer does not inform us, we have the right to charge double the overtime fee.
- Pets are allowed in most of our cars. Please let us know when you book if you have pets, so we can assign you a suitable car. Do not place them directly on the seats—use a blanket or similar protective covering.
- Our cars run on 98-octane gasoline. There is usually a small amount of fuel when you receive the car. Fill up what you need, and return the same amount as when you picked it up. If it was a full tank at pick-up, it should be returned full as well.
- We will help you as soon as we can. Please call and send us a message if we do not answer.
- No, because we cannot assist you if anything goes wrong with the car while off the island.
- No, it is not permitted to use our cars for learner’s permit driving.
